The Ocean's Souvenir

Updated: Jul 17, 2025

By Kausar Kaashifa

Your love tied me around a rock

And threw me down the deep blue ocean.

Yet, you took the boat and left,

Without a glance, without turning back.

I shouldn’t have trusted you,

Or the poison wrapped in your sweet words.

Now the ocean claims me,

Trying to take my soul

Leaving my bones as a souvenir.

How do I escape now?

The water grows colder,

The light fades to nothing,

And I can’t breathe.

I’m dying..
