the ocean’s pearl

I asked for a lover,

and the waves gifted me the shiniest pearl in the ocean.

perhaps the brightest star to ever beam her light,

who burns brightly for others more than in her delight, yearning for acceptance and to be recognised—

for the fire she sets herself alight.

when her blaze dims down much to her dismay,

gracefully she has fallen into the ocean's embrace; the coldness of the deep stings her once fiery core, and slowly she feels the warmth surrounding her soul once more.

the most beautiful pearl to ever exist,

born of the stars— the celestial beings

so when my voice screams for love at the sky above, the waves blessed me, you, my love.

the shiniest star, the brightest pearl—

my forever beautiful, beautiful girl.
