The Ocean

By Sabareesh. N

Slip, I fell into

The mighty deep ocean

Of sad cries.

I was tied with a massive ball

Of dark and despair,

Like food going down caves of sharp stones.

I sank down and down

To the bottom of the blue,

Followed by electric eels

With electric touches of failure.

I saw the sky of joy

For a little help,

Then a hand of kindness

Covered me with petals of care,

Took me up and up,

A hurdle in the way,

The massive ball.

But the hand was backed

By sharp scissors

Of advice from the wise.

I came out of the tear,

The hand taught me

To accept faith,

Light your dark life

With flames of friendship,

Sparks of motherhood.

Then the tear dried.

For myself, I lied

To wait for the future

Of glory, and the way you lead to the light.

This poem beautifully describes a journey from sadness to hope using strong ocean imagery. The emotions feel deep and real, and the idea of kindness, advice, friendship, and motherhood helping the speaker rise is very touching. The transformation from darkness to light gives the poem a powerful and hopeful message. A meaningful and expressive piece—well done!
