Every day before I sleep,
I think about the stars,
I think about the moon,
And Jupiter and Mars.
In the city where I stay,
To see a star is so rare,
I think about how it must be,
Too not be noticed and just be there.
I wonder a lot about the Moon.
How it’s supposed to be so Bright,
But I can't see it that way,
As its covered by the cloudy nights.
And the many times I've stayed up,
To a very late hour,
Just to get the slightest glimpse,
Of a meteor shower.
I keep waiting to use,
That telescope of mine,
But I can't seem to catch anything,
On the right time.
All the things that are hidden to me,
Because of the polluted night sky,
Make me envy,
All with the power to fly.
How I wish I could find a place,
With a sky that is crystal clear,
If where I live ever became like that,
I'd be waiting near.
