I lit up the sky in darkest night,

And shone too in day so bright, But thy light could seldom compare, To the one whom God gave to share

e time was nigh, true light be seen, His coming was grand but not a scene, For God the Son took pure form, at of truest love to calm our storm

Heaven and earth waited in anticipation, All creation kept silent in adoration, Awaiting the fulllment of the age, at man maybe set free from his cage

Yes in that silent night I bore witness, True God now True Man all to bless, True light now shone for all to see, at darkness may no longer be

So come all ye faithful, come I say, For Love Incarnate in a mangerlay, For vulnerable he has chosen to be, at you and I may know true glee
