The Moon's Awake

By J. Prince Wilfred

The dark shady night is lightened by the light

Round she is, standing aloof, and showing majestic might.

Her luminosity reveals the mysteries of the dark,

Her beauty fills the gloomy sky with mark.

She witnesses many untold stories,

Unites the darkness and light throughout histories.

She sacrifices her rest for us to rest,

All alone the night, she looks at us as we nest.

Even the lone wolf cannot be alone,

As she watches over all souls with high-tone.

She is in all waters, all tears, all darkness,

Yet, all alone in the night, standing alone.

She welcomed us with open hands,

all the while we are all in a sudden trance.

The silence becomes her only partner,

Thus, all the way they love each other.
