The Moon

Upon the sky, the moon appears soft and full,
With a perfect symmetry and a magical order.
Gently—like a silvery coin, she gleams,
Suspended over the vast earthly border
And as I forward my feet—into fragments,
She breaks, fractured by the gulmohar tree,
Through which her balmy light filtrates,
Caressing the earthy ground and my body.
