The Monarch the Man of Time

February 2025

Captured unknowingly aware beyond the natural, he looked out at his world

Oceans ancient and powerful lay cradled in eyes so blue, so blue, they saw his world

All yielded, all melted as he played the threads of life

With slender fingers into his palms, into his world

His curious care, his incautious desire of knowing

Tempered the caged heart within, caged and captured heart.

Then a light shone out as though silver and gold, and snowflake dust

Just a glimpse just enough, to pierce his world

Just enough to strike a note to fire, a sound

Pierce his world, split and shave the natural

Lay bare the fibres, shred the comfort and tear his world

He was alive! he felt the pain deepening,

Driving open cage doors and melting, melting, oh! Pain! Oh Life!

Darling him, the sleeper awake at last! hearing the song

Song of silence, of torn and bruised, of knowing but captured

Alive, tingling, turning and grasping for his world

Love, is that there? hiding so crumpled?

Love him! he’s here

Come forward come meet your crumpled discarded soul

Rise up! Raise on wings! Lift up! step forward be King !

The heart of a King is home, time became the doorway

Flight was his, the Monarch !
