The Mombie Poem

By Kalpana Manimohan

I have vomit all over me

My hair’s not combed in days

Shot every other day with pee

Some days are just a craze

The house smells of fresh poop

I should buy over Drypers

The human udders are a droop

You should come with your own mouth wipers

Some things have not changed

Like late nights we have had

It used to be because of movie dates

It’s now feeding and rocking instead

And then you give a toothless grin

So wide and full of life

It stops our world from its spin

The joy in our hearts is rife
