The Melancholy of The Moon

Are you listening to me

as I speak words that I never found,

It’s midnight now, it’s getting dark

inside my soul and all around.

Though I thought I had no soul

I regret as one I have,

A little burnt and cold,

it doesn’t befit me, a soul.

Tearing apart between this world

Am I not meant for this world?

Or is this world not meant for me?

Are you listening, but do you agree?

“If this world doesn't want you,

then child, make another one,

give it a piece of your soul,

and you will have a world inside you.”

“As it all ends, you will be alone,

and child, are you looking at me,

I am alone, whatever I do.”

I nod, as I look at the moon too.
