The Masochist's Moans

Dabbed in the paint,

Grazes the finger

Over the canvas,

 Laying blank

And stabbed-

To paint

The sadist

Who came today

In the artist’s nightmare;

Whipping and bruising

The begetter to death-

Grins the sadist:

Listening,

To moans of

Masochist;

The flowing black,

Beneath that

Hides the face

Of the flagellant,

But brushes off-side

To reveal that,

The face is of the artist.
