The Marred Wood
A mangrove lies a marred tree,
Like a maize martyred to the marsh,
Moderated to muffle the monstrous waves,
To then be massacred by its violence.
Manifold marbling marks like a scar,
Moulded from its muck through misery,
Marred once again into masses,
To be morphed into magnificent art.
