The Love's Chord

There he is on the Billboard

And I am sitting in his car,

Trying to find that exact chord

That leads me to his guitar.

“Your voice can be my favorite song,”

He sings to me as I turn on the tv,

I miss him but it hasn't been that long

Since he left with his guitar and car keys.

“Let's go to the mountains, love

Grab my hand and some drinks,

Let's sing until the Moon shines above

And forget about what they think,”

He has to be the one that I wished for,

I wouldn't mind waiting for him

As it belongs to me, the seat of his car,

He's the only one I can see the road with.

“We have to climb higher, grab my hand,”

I am afraid. “Don't let go, ever,”

“On the top, this is where we stand,

You and me, together and forever.”

I sing in my head, these words we wrote

When I was sitting in his car,

Only trying to find that exact chord

That always led me to his guitar.
