THE LOVE OF WORDS
Scrambling around inside my head
Bouncing and rolling
My mind is filled with words
Prisoners in the confines of a limited space
They strain against bonds
Longing to break free
Parting my lips I allow them freedom
A torrent of words explode
Falling like silent raindrops on the white countenance beneath my hands
I hasten to write, thumbs cramping, fingers moving feverishly
In a queenly manner they arrange themselves
Elegantly and gracefully
Executing an exquisite dance
Unfolding into great nuances of narratives
