The Lore Keeper

She rules the realm of printed dreams

Away from the kingdom of LED screens.

Her shelves lean in with paper’s weight

While phones light up with restless fate.

Her desk is clutter – coffee stains

And a charger wound in tangled chains –

There she mends old spines with care

While influencer laughs drift through the air.

She knows the codes, the endless scroll,

Yet fights to keep the written whole.

When Wi-Fi drops and signals fade,

Her mind still recalls what ink once made.

The world forgets at rapid speed

But she’ll remember what we need.

Not ever tale is meant to trend,

She saves the words that outlive ‘send’.

And if the cloud should crash one night,

Erasing the online satellite,

She’ll voice the stories, ink to heart,

The keeper of words from a world apart.
