Lost In the Page

By Mia Haven

I have read the lore of the vampire,

And the myth of the wolves that shift.

The fairytale, the knights’ long quest,

And all the curses that never lift.

In these pages, I have gathered friends,

And found so many homes –

Towers of glass and forest deep,

Kingdoms built from ink and bones.

I walked through fire and storm,

And stood with the witches at the gate.

I have danced with the ghosts beneath the moon,

And dared the trembling hands of fate.

These stories live beneath my skin,

They whisper when I dream –

A chorus of the strange and brave,

Of magic yet unseen.

So, if the night feels cold and long,

And the world too sharp to bear.

I’ll open to a folded page

And find my refuge there.
