The Long Days/The Poisonous hours

Why do the days seem so long

Each the same and mundane

Always going through them not knowing what’s wrong

Staring at the walls, so plain

Suffering the same pain.

"Always look forward to another day."

They always say

But I don't know where to aim

Struggling to find a way,

Each path seems so gray.

No remorse, no relief

to help you make up your mind,

how can I hope while I breath

the poison crippling my mind.

Love is, what they called it at first,

the makers of poison speculating on thirst;

just as hunger and longing suffocate the brain

we will always struggle, and struggle in vain.

Shall I pray for no End

of these moments of Hope

while with the poison at hand

I know I cannot cope ...
