The Life

By Sabareesh. N

The flow of sparkling water,

Fish say water is their shelter,

But humans are becoming their hunter.

Water is in liquid state,

But it becomes like plastic.

Rivers, lakes, waterbodies—

It is the state of knife

For our life.

This poem delivers a powerful message about the beauty of water and the tragedy of pollution. The contrast between nature’s purity and human carelessness is expressed with striking imagery—“sparkling water” turning “like plastic” is especially impactful. The lines about fish calling water their shelter while humans become hunters highlight the urgency of protecting aquatic life. A simple, emotional, and meaningful poem by sabareesh that reminds us that saving water bodies is saving ourselves..Well said sabareesh.
