THE LAST LOVE

Everyone talks about the first love,

when it’s the last love that needs the talking

You are the kind of love that I have grown to admire,

I know you come with a baggage, but don’t we all have it?

When I am black and blue and hurting, you are the kind of love that stays longer than my anxiety,

I know you are scared of getting hurt again, but aren’t we all healing in some way

You are the kind of love with longest hugs and softest kisses

I know I am scared of letting you go, but can you assure me that you will come back.

You are the kind of love that walks with me.

I know you dwell in your past at times, but why don’t you just hold my hand?

You are the kind of love that makes me feel things that I never want to feel.

I know I blush when you talk about the first kiss, but don’t you blush too.

You are a force, a pull to all my desires and my dreams

I know you are the sum of all my wishes combined in one.

You are the one.

You are the love that deserves all the talking.

You are the last love and my love forever.
