The Kid

Sat in the corner, a five year old

Not too scared yet not too bold

Heard a lot, saw much more

Pain he felt very to the core

Not something any child should have borne

Wondering he was, as to why he was born

Not to cry and not to mourn

Yet sadness as a cloak he has worn

No friends he had, nor any foe

No one to support, none to show,

That he was not alone and had to grow

But a kid he was, only willing to glow

Always hid in darkness,

Letting it be his harness

Crying and sobbing, loud yet quiet

His thoughts and mind not clear quite

A constant overthinker

Thoughts flowing like a river

Being counselled not to do so

But loneliness consumed him to be so

Broken and shattered his childhood has been

To heal and get back together he was keen

Holding on the to anchor life has released

Time shall heal him he believed
