The happy future of India might keep us happy. Yet, did you know there was a time when Indians were not ruled by an Indian King but by Britishers? Yes, it started when the year turned 1885. The Britishers hoisted the English flag in India and began to be the rulers of a country that was not their native. They suffered India's life. From poverty and violence to terrorism, the once colourful country became blank without a drop of happiness. Days went their way through when the famine war broke out. Indians suffered under the control of Britain. Children died without even a grain of rice resting under their bellies. No one had enough to eat because of the Britishers' genocide with Indians. A great extent of eighty-five million Indians passed out. In addition, it is half of Bengal's population. With no spiritedness to face another moment of hardship, Mangal Pandey stood up to be India's first voice - a freedom fighter. Yes! The first before Mahatma Gandhi was Pandey-gi. Likely, many other Indians followed to save
their country. Though the British army was brawnier, all the fighters of India did not give up. Women like Rani Laxmi Bai and Sarojini Naidu joined them too. After a lot of violence and wars, The British army became breathless. Not only that, the Hindus and Muslims had a religious fight, which made the British rule grow down. In the long run, the whites decided to leave India. Yet, the war between Hindus and Muslims did not end. And that's when Muhammad Ali Jinnah thought of separating their state - "Pakistan" from India. Soon, it was lucky for the once ruled country to be independent again. Not after a long time, in the 1948's, all the Indians woke up in a cheerful mood – happier, happier than any day on their lives. Guess what, it was their republic. On the Independence day, the Indian flag would be hoisted. Despite at the republic, the flag would be there in its place, until the day ends. Before the whites reached, India was full of richness and colours. So the British took them all to their native. Though, nowadays all the foreigners are grateful for India to be one of the kindest countries. My love to reading would never end, so I’ve got to go. Meet you next time!
