The Home I No Longer Know

without you home feels like a foreign place

my heart it aches for your warm embrace

and it burns as I begin to forget

forget the traces you left on my skin

or how we laughed so hard the air felt thin

the weight of unsaid words eats me alive

as I stare at the stolen images left in my archive

I miss the way

the way I bloomed in your presence

maybe I need to accept my credence

but my love I wanna scream and shout

shout so hard I make you stay

for my heart, it burns when you're away

and it aches for your warm embrace

because without you, home's a foreign place.
