The Heaven in My Dreams
By Kenisha Kapur
The wind takes me places,
places I can only dream of.
I see the wildflowers and dandelions,
withering and soaring away,
entering a heaven.
And the trees are swaying in the wind,
Like they’re loving,
embracing their disarray.
a hypnotizing melody,
and I want to be a part of it all.
So, I see myself flying away,
to the places I can only dream of,
leaving behind a baggage of worries.
Humming an almost soundless, yet pleasing tune.
And the night is no less abundant,
than the day.
The stars are calling my name,
the silence- screaming.
And suddenly, I feel myself,
Suddenly I’m in the place,
I can only dream of.
It’s a heaven,
it’s my heaven.
And I’m all alone in it,
with the things I can only dream of.
