The Heart's Ocean

War in man never cease,

For darkness in them is at ease.

Long they look but never perceive,

The goodness from God that they receive.

Like crashing tidal waves against the sandy land,

The restless heart wrestles the thoughtless band.

Stillness is in silence in the sea deep,

The Cathedral beneath calls to take the faithful leap.

As down we go, we reap what we sow.

The elated energy enhanced in us.

The heart’s ocean is clamorous outside,

But heaven is within when ceases the tide.

Unlocking the heart reveals fathomable fantasies,

Understanding it brings us back to realities.
