The Haunted House of Wisconsin

Once upon a time there lived a young lady named Farrah. She had a very terrible family history, due to that her parents ran away with and was never seen again. Soon, the family members got to know that her parents had died due to a car accident. They were relieved to find Farrah safe and sound. Soon, when she was at the age of 22 she ran away because her family never gave her the peace and quietness she longed for. She owned a huge farm due to her hard work. One day, when she was going through the mail the postman had just delivered, she saw a letter with her family symbol. She just held it in her hands and stared at it in a deep thought. Jack, her best friend ran towards her waving a letter in her face. She asked “What is it? Did you get the acceptance letter for that university you just applied?” He replied “yes, it is, let’s celebrate with some beer and apple pie!!” She said “well I am not interested in having beer but, I am in for some apple pie!!” While they both were eating, Farrah told Jack about the letter. He said “how about we open the letter now, if there is any danger we can easily avoid it”. She said “good idea, let’s do it now!”. Jack hesitated a bit but opened the letter to find nothing but a piece of paper. Farrah opened the letter with trembling hands and read aloud to Jack who listened quietly. After she finished reading, Jack said “are you sure you are going back to the family mansion which drove you and your parents away?” She said “yes, I have to, they are family to me after all”. The next day she packed her clothes saying one last thing to Jack…

“please take good care of the farm and animals while I am away.” Jack said “take good care of yourself as you are visiting your family after a really long time.” She said “I will” and said goodbye to Jack and left. Her aunt’s mansion was in Wisconsin and Farrah had to take a 5hr long bus trip to Wisconsin. As she stepped out of the bus she took deep breath in and out as she was visiting her aunt’s mansion after 3 years. She looed at the mansion which was very old and dusty. Just as she was about to enter the mansion a lightning struck the house and bats flew out of a cave nearby. She stepped into the house and realised that no one has been living here for a really long time. She thought “If no one has been living here for ages then who sent me the letter?” When Farrah was thinking about the place and the person who sent her the letter, a hand grabbed her shoulder saying “are you lost my child? I shall lead you to your doom!!” A chill ran down her spine as the person standing behind her touched her hair, trembling with fear she turned around to find the door open. She said to herself “this must be the strong wind which opened the door and it must be me imagining as if someone was standing behind me.” “I must be tired and exhausted from that 5hr long trip” saying this she threw herself on the couch which was very old, she didn’t mind that the couch was dusty because she was very tired. Later, she stood up and decided to explore the mansion, since it was very dark, she took a torchlight with her. She climbed upstairs to the second floor and found a bed there. She cleaned the bedroom with some cleaning supplies she found in the bathroom. After all that cleaning, she was very exhausted and hungry. She once again ventured off to find the kitchen. She found it and said “now let’s see what I can cook for dinner tonight.” She started cleaning the kitchen and found a garden where there were some vegetables growing. She went outside and started collecting some vegetables and washed them. She started cooking and after finishing her dinner she wore her pyjamas and went to bed. She had a nightmare and woke up suddenly to find herself perspiring and thirsty for some water. She whipped up a torchlight and went downstairs to drink some water. She saw a figure of someone standing behind her and turned around to find the curtains flying. She said “this place is getting more creepy day by day, I should call Jack to come here, but I have to find a telephone for that, I will find one tomorrow and tell Jack to come here.” She went upstairs to bed and fell asleep. The next day she woke up, got dressed, and finished eating breakfast. After this she went in search of a telephone. She found herself searching for the telephone in the attic, suddenly a figure appeared behind her saying “I will make sure you meet your doom one day or the other, until then you will be nothing but a puppet to me.” She turned around to find nothing but muddy footprints and the attic door closing itself. She ran towards it but it was too late, she also heard sounds as if someone was locking the door up, but she realised it too late. She started screaming and shouting but it was useless. Later, she stood up with hope and started searching for the telephone. After finding it she immediately called Jack and told him everything, later Jack found her in the attic and Farrah hugged him saying everything which happened in the mansion. He listened quietly and said “don’t worry about it, you must be hungry now let’s eat lunch.” After eating they ventured deeper into the mansion and found many secrets and treasures. Later, they took a short nap and ventured into the mansion once again. When they were exploring the basement, they heard noises as if someone was walking behind them. They turned around to find nothing once again. They both called it a night and fell asleep. The next morning Farrah woke up to find Jack missing. She went downstairs to find the police arresting Jack. Her aunt ran towards her and hugged her saying that she missed her a lot. Farrah asked her aunt Emily, “why are the police arresting Jack? what crime did he commit?” her aunt explained to her saying that she was threatened by him and he was the one acting as the ghost. Farrah was shocked by what she had just heard. She went towards Jack and asked him “Is this true? Did you threaten my aunt?” he said “I would never do such a thing to you or to your family.” She had tears in her eyes as the police took Jack away. Her aunt hugged her and consoled her saying “don’t worry I will protect you I will also make sure that no one hurts you ever again.” They both hugged again and lived happily ever after.
