THE HAPPY FUNERAL

The street lights came in view,

As I walked along the path in my best suit,

I wondered if she wore a red piece or blue,

Her eyes would be sparkling, her hair must be in a different way,

I could smell her scent even though she was not there,

the ballroom was around the corner but felt miles away,

I jumped some steps, tapped along the street folk

And then I reached there, my eyes were kind of hungry

Looking for her here and there,

Suddenly the music stopped ringing through my ears,

A sudden bloom happened in the hall,

I don’t remember for how long I didn’t blink,

It was her, the insides of me were about to burst

But in the middle of bloom I saw her holding someone else,

Everything went pitch black, couldn’t hold the shock and went backstage,

From there I saw those two who didn’t hold back,

They somehow looked perfect, the guy looked much better than I am,

My face felt swollen, I think my soul cried that day,

I realized that everything I write is worthless,

words are nothing but words at the end of the day,

Therefore I am putting up a wall now,

A wall so high that u won’t be willing to climb,

or say will push anyone who tries to go that far away,

I used to be a loser, but now I will be the score,

Hopes are just deceiving, it might be selfish to say that-

I wanted all of you for myself,

But now it will be ending at the cost of myself

see ya, Good luck finding the same me again.
