The Gujjars And The Sharmas

By Sukanya Roy Choudhury

The Gujjars used to live peacefully in a town in Uttarakhand. The head of the family was Mr. Manohar Gujjar accompanied by his wife, two sons and their families. They used to face all the challenges together. Once upon a time, their family business which abounded in sweet production was facing some ups and downs. Their rival company, Sharma Sweets secretly used to steal their sweets from their factories and used to sell it in less prices. Many months passed by. The Gujjars could not figure out what was happening. At last they found it out.

One of their employees was involved with them who used to sell their sweets to the Sharmas and in turn received some amount of money. The Gujjars were disappointed by their employee’s act. To teach a lesson to the Sharmas, the Gujjars secretly replaced the newly-made, fresh sweets with stale sweets. As usual on the next working day, the employee stole sweets from the factory and gave it to the Sharmas and received a hefty amount of money back. Once these sweets were sold by them, Sharma Sweets faced a huge criticism and backlash which resulted in great loss to their business. The Gujjars’ business flourished and their sweets were receiving love from sweet lovers across the town.
