At the darkest hour, it opens its glistening eyes,
With the stealth of an assassin, on the prey it spies.
Before a thousand eyes it marches, yet it’s presence none can feel,
Every slippery prey, falters at its heel.
Even in the broad daylight, it walks unseen,
Hunter of the chilling Himalayan peaks, not of some peaceful tropical green.
The prey it has chosen, might as well be synonymous to death,
None can seen its movements as it comes to snuff out your breath.
It is the grey ghost of Himalayas, the famed snow leopard!
It’s one growl is the biggest fear of every shepherd.
To its well-being, long ago we should have sworn,
Lets not poach and end, the most exotic creature we have ever known!
