The Good & The Bad

By Rakhitha P

There is this thing about people who have always lived in the light,

They have love so warm, but their thoughts prejudiced.

Not because they're bad, but because of inexperience.

They manipulate oneself to entitlement

Drown in water so pure

The stench of blood, of rotten food never touched their air

They say they risk themselves,

They say they've been warned

Of a future so uncertain, of a present so fickle

But what do they know?

The future that they hold,

Would never have the stench of air

I and my brothers breath.
