Dreams Unturned

By Rakhitha P

You will not take away from me, my life.

You will not dare, to give me dreams-

Of hope, of love

Then turn back and betray the trust.

The child is naive and you misuse it.

The child is naive and the only one who truly lives.

The child is naive and you are hurting it.

Give me back the time I wasted,

Trying to prove to you that I am worthy

When you never needed an answer,

You wanted me busy.

Give me back myself.

Give me back my life.
