The Golden Days

By Mahek Gandhi

Sunkissed days and skies blue,

The good golden days of May flew.

Beneath the sun, we used to play,

Those summer days have slipped away.

Games like hide and seek, monopoly, uno we used to play,

The good golden days of May flew away.

Ice creams and candies made our day,

The good golden days of May flew away.

Our hearts and minds free and spirits bold,

Childhood summers, stories retold.

The summers where dreams just made their way,

The good golden days of May flew away.
