TITLE:

THE GLOWING STATUE

That sunny Friday morning,the sun shone like a diamond throughout the earth’s horizon. My class and I decided to visit the Wonderworld museum.I bubbled with joy as I heard the exciting news.

As we got to the museum,I stared with awe.The walls were covered in famous paintings and there were over a thousand statues.”Wow!” I exclaimed with admiration coursing through my spine. It was like if I was staring at a greedy pirate’s chest of gold.

Out of all the statues though,one particular statue caught my eye.I walked towards the statue slowly,it almost felt like something was pulling me towards it. As I looked up,I saw the statue,it was a marble design and looked like a woman running.Suddenly the statue began to glow brighter.I thought that it was just a coincidence so I walked back to my friends who were now looking at the Starry Night painting.Within the blink of an eye,the statue grabbed me.

I screamed my lungs out as I was being pulled into the statue.”Ouch!” I grunted as I fell.I got up and peered around but to my surprise I was in the middle of a dried out desert.I scratched my head in confusion as I questioned myself”Where am I?”My friends as well as the museum had vanished into the unknown.Then,I suddenly heard a low growl.I looked behind me and a giant ogre stood,glaring down daggers into my precious soul.”You're in my territory!” growled the beast.I screamed in fear as I ran for dear life.Even though I ran like speeding bullets,the ogre was just as fast for his gigantic size.”I’m going to make you my new chew toy.” howled the vicious beast.Without thinking,I climbed up a dried tree.The ogre shook the tree vigorously, trying to eat me alive.

Just as I was about to fall into the ogre’s smelly mouth,I felt someone shaking my shoulder.Before I knew it,I opened my eyes and realised that I was still in the bus with my classmates again.”Good thing it was just a dream.” I sighed.I know from now on I will never see museum’s the same again.This was surely an experience that I would always remember.
