There once was a girl made of glass

Just like you

She had 2 eyes, 2 ears,

a nose and a mouth

And all 10 of her fingers

If you waved

She would smile and she would nod

If you asked her a question

She would reply earnestly

But encased within the glass

Was a pressure

With each conversation

The pressure built and built

And the gas within bubbled and brewed

If you looked closely

You might notice the cracks start to form

Stand back

You might shout

For the glass girl is about to blow

But It's too late

All that pressure

burst out in a fiery rage

Glass shattering

into a million tiny pieces

She stands up

and picks up the shards

One by one

She brings them into the furnace

and melts them back into herself

The glass girl is whole again

But it's not the same

It's never the same

For the girl is gone

And all you see is glass
