The Girl in The Mirror

staring into the paradoxical mirror of life

A girl staring back with her bare eyes

She is not the girl who talks with her deep eyes

She is the girl whose gaze is unlikely to read

She is not the girl the authors write about

She is the girl who is a part of a faceless crowd

She is not the girl with Melpomene’s melody

She is the voice of protest, a thunderstorm

she is not the girl with Aphrodite’s beauty

she is akin to a geode rock

within her lies a whole different chapter

unheard, unsaid, unexpressed

Silently echoes in a poet’s chest
