The Girl I Know

I am scared of her. Her words haunt me. Why is she so rude, but at the same time so kind? Every day is a battle, even when she is sleeping. She guards her heart but breaks it. She told me that I am ugly, the next day she said I am beautiful. I am the only one who can hear her, to everyone else she does not exist. She is a monster. She is a princess. Who can really tell? She confuses me, but helps me. She makes me angry, but happy. I call her ‘thoughts’, but she prefers the name, ‘Rachel’s insecurities’.
