THE GIANT AND THE MINNOW

Ever seen a boat sailing in storm

Surrounded by the heavy foam

Many thoughts in my head form

Which side am I ? boat or storm

I watched with great intent

The Boat’s puny attempts

Trying to be strong and brave

Making efforts to not cave

Riding along the waves up and down

Holding strongly that it doesn’t drown

Inching its way on sea across

Like Christ bearing his own cross

Moving ahead towards land

To sink it’s anchor in the sand

As I watched from my window

Fight between giant and a minnow

Minnow did win the fight

Against all odds reached its site

Bully storm took a beat

Finally it did retreat

Now it’s for us to think

We should side with the bully

Or let the boat sink
