The Fumbling Reign Of Fear

Mar 9, 2023

A drop of water brings fear to the mind

The nervous energy makes me bow

Becoming restless of ties that bind

The conscious mind says, “Sorry, pretty busy right now”

The tremors of my entire body calling me special

The excruciating challenge and the will to live wrestle

Pure & Clean water stalks, controls, my chest clenches

A paranoia that cover all my heart wrenches

Similarly, the young Willam Douglas landed in deep, deep water

Bubbles were all in his face, couldn’t see either

The missed out opportunities disappointing the author

The Aquaphobia looking like a terrifying mythical creature

A life ruled by fear is a life without hope

Realising this, the soon-to-be advocate climbed the rope

On the absolute last straw, the will to live arouse

Afterall, fear is only as deep as the mind allows.
