FORGOTTEN KITTEN

CHAPTER 1; CHRISTMAS

“Kirsty! We have to decorate the house for Christmas! Its almost time!”. It was a fresh Sunday morning, little Kirsty had holidays from school because of Christmas. She had always wanted a puppy, but mum said no. The next day, it was Christmas, and mum was getting ready for Kirsty’s gift. Kirsty was hoping to get a lovely pet as a Christmas present.

CHAPTER 2; SPECIAL VISITOR

Mum came back from the shops, to Kirsty’s surprise there was a basket. When she opened it, she saw a cute little kitten, Kirsty exclaimed “Oh thank you mum!” Mum replied “Merry Christmas!” so Kirsty’s pet was gold color and her eyes were turquoise. Kirsty named her “Ginger”. That night, Kirsty slept with Ginger curled up on her legs.

CHAPTER 3; BACK TO SCHOOL

The next day Kirsty started going back to school. Kirsty told her dad to take care of Ginger. By the time Kirsty came to school she got carried away about her teacher Mrs. Samanca and made a lot of friends. She didn’t even notice it was home time! Dad came to pick her up. As Kirsty waved to her friends; Hannah, Ruby and Benjamin, Kirsty dashed back home, eager to see her cute, cuddly kitten. Once she arrived, Ginger wasn’t there, “Dad, where’s Ginger?!” bellowed Kirsty from upstairs. A thought struck her like a boulder that hit her badly, what if Ginger didn’t love me and thought I forgot about her? After all, school WAS a long day! Eeesh! Maybe she was worried about her and ran off. Kirsty hoped to find her precious, priceless kitten before she went to bed. “Perfect goal” mumbled Kirsty.

CHAPTER 4; “WHATEVER IT TAKES, I NEED TO GET HER NOW”

Kirsty dashed downstairs to tell her dad the plan. Mum was a vet so Mr. Tate, Kirsty’s father was the only one free. “Dad, dad, dad I’ve a plan to find Ginger. Oh dad, look at me!” squealed Kirsty as if it was her birthday. “Kirsty, it’s too dangerous now, there’s a storm raging in, why not tomorrow?” asked Mr. Tate, lazily. “Whatever it takes, I need to get her now,” said Kirsty, firmly. “Oh, alright, then let me wear you your coat.” Mr. Tate agreed, after A LOT of coaxing. Kirsty kept on hoping for two particular things; her plan to work and to find Ginger. As if he was reading her mind, Mr. Tate put a reassuring hand on Kirsty’s shoulder, “Don’t worry Kirsty, we’ll find Ginger. Just use COURAGE, HOPE and LOVE.”

Ahh, Mr. Tate’s wise words always burn Kirsty’s worries, sadness, anxiety or frights. Both set off, to the shops first. HOPE, HOPE, HOPE, thought Kirsty. Just as she was about to give up, Ginger came bounding towards Kirsty, “GASP! Ginger!” cried Kirsty. She felt a sense of relief. “Ginger, don’t think I forgot about you, I just went to school! Sorry I didn’t tell you.” Kirsty cuddled her kitten all the way home.

THE END.
