The Fool

By Mimansa

The Fool…

I wish to stop making a fool of myself.

But how do I stop when I’m a fool?

Fool to fall for the fools who are fool enough

To fool around with my heart, with my emotions, with my trust,

With my devotion, my love,

With my whole, entire and every, ounce of being—

All because, I’m a fool!

And a fool, I’d rather be,

Gladly! Than being the fool,

To hurt the fool,

Who is fool enough, to fall

For a fool like me!
