The First Contact

Amidst the city’s chatter and noise

A set of glowing blue orbs caught my attention

Moving from one corner to another

Restless, attractive, and deep

They rein me in

And finally, still after the first contact

For the first time, no hesitation in mind

I jump blindly into those cobalt pools

Not letting my lack of swimming skills

Pull me away from getting lost

In the unknown, the mystery and the pain

It’s in those eyes

I lose myself

I hike a mountain

Scale a wall

Swim across an ocean

And find me in the back of

A beautifully mysterious mind
