The Fire Of Desire

Updated: Jul 14

By Devananda Edamadathil

I have in me a supernova,

Brighter than a star, beautiful than the moon,

Powerful, yet burning every second,

Like waterfalls is this love,

Unstoppable and unalterable.

Crystal clear, falling,

Time and again,

Like flowers full of nectar to bees,

Like the flaming sun above the seas,

A passion so discrete,

Every day, I wish we would meet,

Every walk, I look for you in the street,

A glimpse of you is nothing but a treat,

A smile of yours, just so sweet,

Our story is incomplete,

Memorable but bittersweet,

Your name in my heart, is concrete,

On you, I’ll never accept defeat,

And I love you more, with every heartbeat
