The Fallen Leaves of Love

The foggy eyes and the cloudy mind,

The messy heart and the lonely soul.

A broken mirror that doesn’t show,

Your real beauty when you feel low.

A dispersed memory which is hard to seal,

The fallen leaves of love crushed under the feet.

A sun that rose but never shined,

Don’t you see that I am trying?

Oh Love, let it all burn down,

What haunts you away from me.

Fly high over the walls,

And beyond the horizon.

If your wings are broken,

Please take mine till yours can open too

Because my heart is something

I had reserved only for you.

Poetry is my only anchor to your world of loneliness,

Baking cookies with you is my love language.

You’re like the last drag of my only cigarette,

If I am the Romeo then you are my the only Juliet.
