The Faith

I’ve taken flights a thousand times,

And boarded ships that many scores;

Flew across vast, uncharted skies,

And sailed to distant, pristine shores.

Never once did I see the pilot steering,

Nor glimpsed the captain at the helm;

Yet I trust them to safely guide my journey,

Through stormy seas and skies overwhelmed.

I’ve faced life’s trials a thousand times,

Through every rise and every fall;

Traversed through both joy and sorrow,

With whispered prayers, a silent call.

Never once did I see the divine face,

Nor any incarnation of the sacred light;

Yet I trust He’ll steer my path clear,

From shadowed roads to a future bright.
