The End Of A Beautiful Beginning

In the halls of learning where mischief was my game,

In the last year of school, I earned a name.

The bonds we’ve formed unbroken till the end, our laughter and tears together…we’ll always blend.

Well, it’s the last day of school EVER!

No more silly pranks,

No more bullying our best friends,

No more returning to school after summer break,

No more school uniforms!!

Uniform… I’ve hated you for always demanding to be tidy and clean…but now as you rest in my wardrobe, you’re my favourite piece of clothing.

By the way, all the pockets that I tore will forever be safe with me in my cupboard!

Though in a couple of months the future will knock with paths unknown, the last year of school in our hearts is home.

Though school is behind me, the world’s now in view, but the spirit of mischief forever will renew… because mischief is where we found our friendship to be true as we faced the problems school threw.

15-year-old Jayanth found it cringey when he saw people crying on the last day of school, he said he’d never cry at all…but when he saw his favourite seniors move out of school, he found out he was only human afterall.

Now he’s in disbelief that he’s in the position where his favourite seniors were…waiting to see his future.

Now as we step into a whole new world, our futures unknown…may the spirit of our hearts always be shown.

Through laughter and tears we’ve conquered our fears,

All the memories that we made together…

Will always be forged and never wither.
