Are you trying to hide the moon behind your back,

to eschew the only light that passes in.





There were only nights since a year,

and I being the phantom strolling through the gloom you brought in


Return it !!! all the books that you have torn and scattered- don’t you think-

are dancing through the wind flaunting the new pair of pinions.


This polar night- I wonder- when would it end

You can be Erebus, but I am no Nyx- I would want to breathe the light


I’ll sever the dense canopy of cimmerian clouds

that you have crafted to shun my light.


For the books could be torn,

but the words cannot be.
