The Echoes of A Weary Heart

A timeless gaze sought out with pain

My heart withers within my stain

To know I feel no love for the world

Is oddly strange and makes me relieved

To know this world so fair and rough

Will touch my heart enough

For my heart burns for the world

But my heart cannot burn along with it

In my pity for this world

I pray a pray that is burned

I pray for not peace and love alone

But for strong of hearts and humble

As I say these words of pain

Do not leave in such a useless gain

Of riches and money galore

The heart does not work on gold alone
