THE DAY AFTER
By Steven Canara
A new day, a new zero
As you are still basking in yesterday's performance;
Again a choice appears, to be a villain or a hero
And invites for a brand new indulgence.
Having no clue about your own future,
Hoping to be successful in a topsy turvy market;
How would you go about and venture?
Hapless you feel, unable to achieve any target.
While, yesterday gets erased in the shadows,
When you were still able to choreograph your actions;
Which were either completely naive or somewhat thorough,
Why did I do that? you ask today, as you reap its consequences.
As you recall your past victories you'll feel tough;
Hereby, be happy today! go on and make it pleasant.
Why worry about your future as much?
Cause each day is an opportunity wrapped up as a present.
