The Dance

Miles away and far apart

I thought love was and art

A song and dance to master

A back and forth going faster

A give and take fifty-fifty

Sharing the day over a glass of whiskey

But that’s not true, isn’t it?

It’s more than that you have to admit

It’s and eighty-twenty

Filling the others cup from empty

Though the sum may change

From day-to-day you may exchange

Your place for theirs

Chasing away each other’s fears

So, it may be an art

But one you have to learn from the heart
