The Curse of My Childhood

By Arsh Raz

Take away all the needles

Of the clock.

I don't need it anymore.

It says, time is running,

and one day I will grow.

It says,

I'll loose my toys.

It says,

I'll be one of the old boys.

It says, I'll grow up

and have some responsibilities.

It says, my assets will become

My liabilities.

So why should I look at it,

Take it away.

And leave somewhere. So that

No one can get it in their pathway.

Cause who wants to have

Such a waste.

Who claims to take

All the stuffs of their interests.
