TITLE:

THE CREEPY OLD MAN WHO LIVED NEXT DOOR

That particular Saturday morning, the golden orb casted a warm glow over the earth’s horizon. My friend,Chad and I were playing with our ball in my backyard.Laughter filled the atmosphere as beautiful birds stitched melodies into our tiny ears as our excitement was limitless.

We were happier than anyone could ever be.Chad and I were running back and forth with jubilation, taking in the cool breeze kissing our necks. The sky was bright blue and trees danced gracefully in the wind.

Suddenly,I accidently threw the ball too hard and it hit the old man who lived next door’s backyard.A lump immediately formed in my throat as regret and fear took control over my body.”We must get the ball or else we’ll be raw meat!”I exclaimed to Chad.I grabbed his arm and walked into the old man’s backyard.”We shouldn't be here,”Chad whispered scaredily. We crept across the wet, dead grass.

Soon enough,Chad and I began to hear footsteps coming our way."Probably just a dog.”I said as I tried to console myself. Then the old man appeared in front of us with a stern face.had and I ran for our lives.”Forget the ball run!”exclaimed Chad. We finally darted back into our house.

As a result,we felt as though we just ran an entire marathon.Chad and I gasped for air. My mother asked,”Are you two alright?”We simply lied and nodded even though she clearly saw the sweat dripping from our foreheads.Maybe she thought that it was from when we were playing outside. We were relieved that we weren't eaten alive.Chad and I always thought that something weird was going on with that man. No one will ever know. This is surely an experience that both Chad and I will never forget.
